BTL Emsella for Women’s Intimate Health & Incontinence
As women advance in age, issues often arise surrounding the health of their intimate areas – leading to sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and vaginal leakage. This is caused by a loosening or weakness along the muscles within the pelvic area, including the bladder, pelvic floor muscles, and the vaginal walls. These issues cause a number of confidence issues, forcing women to avoid social settings, fun activities, and often lead to a far more sedentary, lonesome lifestyle.
At Women’s Health and Wellness, we are proud to introduce a revolutionary new treatment for women’s urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction, known as the BTL Emsella. This breakthrough device offers women the opportunity to gain their confidence back and live the active, fulfilling life they want to as they advance in age.
What is the BTS Emsella?
Whether its due to advancing in age, going through menopause or a result of child birth, women everywhere are having more and more problems with incontinence and overall intimacy issues. The BTS Emsella device is a non-invasive treatment that strengthens the muscles along the pelvis and pelvic floor, using HIFEM (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology.
How Does it Work?
The BTS Emsella device works by using electromagnetic energy waves sent through a body into a woman’s intimate areas. Similar to the waves within your standard MRI, the BTS Emsella is completely non-invasive, and what’s known as a “passive treatment”, meaning patients will simply sit back and allow the treatment to work on its own.
Women are asked to sit comfortably on top of the BTS Emsella device, while the electromagnetic waves are distributed along the pelvic region. Sessions will typically last only about 30 minutes, in which patients can read a magazine, watch television, or even take a quick nap. It doesn’t even require you to remove a single article of clothing! The unit will passively strengthen the vaginal walls, and the muscles along the pelvis and pelvic wall, by causing thousands of supramaxial contractions in every session – the equivalent of doing over 11,000 kegels in one sitting!
Who is the Best Candidate for the BTS Emsella Treatment?
The device works for women of any age range, who may be suffering from urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction, or vaginal leakage – and are seeking a notable improvement to their quality of life.
How Long is the Treatment?
Typically, sessions will only require about 30 “passive” minutes, meaning the patients are able to read a book, watch a TV show, or whatever else they like, as long as they remain seated on top of the Emsella device.
Generally, patients require a total of 6 sessions – usually scheduled 2 per week for 3 weeks. However, depending on your specific issues, and desired level of correction, your doctor may customize your treatment schedule.
How Does it Feel?
One of the best things about the BTS Emsella device is that it is 100% non-invasive, and patients feel no pain at all. patients will experience a slight tingling along the pelvic floor muscles as a tesult of the constant contractions. Since there is also 0 downtime, patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the session is completed.
Patients will typically see some improvement to their intimate health after the first session! However, your results will become more prominent and will improve over the next few weeks, and you will usually sense more strength in the pelvic floor muscles.
The device allows women to take back control of their lives, and gain back lost confidence, as well as live a more active lifestyle. For more information on the BTS Emsella device, and treatment for your intimate health, contact Women’s Health and Wellness today.
